terms of service
These terms are an agreement between you and Aprianil Sesti Rangga ("Apri", "I", "me"), an individual based in Indonesia, who makes sidealong. By downloading, installing or using sidealong, or buying a licence, you agree to them. Questions go to apri@sidealong.com.
what sidealong is
sidealong is a Mac app that runs your own coding agent, such as Claude Code or Codex, next to the apps you design in. It doesn't include access to any agent or AI model. You need your own account with that provider, and your use of it is governed by their terms and billing.
your licence
When you use sidealong, I give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use it on up to 2 of your own Macs, within the limits shown at purchase. You may not resell, sublicense or redistribute sidealong, share your licence key publicly, or try to bypass licence checks.
sidealong and its name, logo and design remain mine. Your work, including your code, designs and anything your agent produces, is yours.
free use and paid plans
The current price, free allowance and what is included are shown on sidealong.com and at checkout. At the time of writing, sidealong is free while it's new, at least until 1 december 2026. After that it's $49 a year. Your first 7 days are free, no card needed, and everyone keeps 5 free days a month without paying. A day only counts when you send something to your agent. A paid licence renews every year until you cancel. If you stop paying, you go back to the free days.
If prices or the free allowance change, I'll announce it at least 2 weeks before. A change never affects a period you have already paid for.
payments
Purchases are processed by Polar (polar.sh) as merchant of record, under Polar's own terms. Polar handles billing, receipts, taxes and cancellations. You can cancel a renewal at any time from the link in your receipt email or by emailing me; your licence stays active until the end of the period you paid for.
refunds
You can try sidealong free before you pay: the first 7 days of use, then 5 free days every month. Because you can try everything first, payments are final and not refundable.
You can cancel your renewal at any time from the link in your receipt email. You keep sidealong until the end of the period you paid for, and after that you go back to 5 free days a month.
Where your local consumer law gives you a right to a refund, that right still applies.
acceptable use
Don't use sidealong to break the law, to infringe someone else's rights, or to harm other people's systems. You are responsible for what you ask your agent to do and for reviewing what it changes in your projects.
no warranty
sidealong is provided "as is". I work hard to make it reliable, but I can't promise it will be error-free or always available. Agents can make mistakes and change files; keep your work under version control and keep backups.
limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, I'm not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost data, lost profit or lost work, and my total liability to you is limited to what you paid me for sidealong in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be waived.
ending
You can stop using sidealong at any time. I may suspend a licence that breaks these terms, after telling you why when I can. If I ever stop making sidealong, I'll tell paying customers in advance and ship one last version that needs no licence, so your copy keeps working on any Mac.
changes
If these terms change, I'll update the date at the top and email paying customers about meaningful changes before they take effect.
law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia. If you are a consumer, you also keep any protections given by the laws of the country where you live.
